La Bohème, by Giacomo Puccini
National Concert Hall
Saturday 19 May
19 May 2012 - 23 May 2012
La Bohème, one of the greatest operatic love stories in the repertory is set in the Latin Quarter in Paris. Rodolfo and his friends lead a typical student existence, dodging the miserly landlord and carousing at the Café Momus. Everything changes when Roldolfo meets Mimi – the girl from upstairs – and their romance spins out of control. From loves first passion to disillusionment and pain, the relationship grows stronger until brutal reality forces the couple back down to Earth – Mimi is dying.
